Please call on me for a cameraman, video crew, film crew DP or other specialized camera crew that won't ala cart your production costs, complain about accessories costing extra that I already have for camera support. I'll do the best I can to bring the desired camera equipment accessories, and not try to bill you for more after the job, or burn up your checkbook with surprises. I also can make a camera / lighting / grip and sound package scalable to your production needs, and can also do a great job with minimal camera resources as well. High Definition Veterans. Adapting to all the individual HD needs of many networks as a cameraman and director of photography I've mastered many HD cameras for clients and networks requiring professional HD video production from Sony HDCAM, & XDCAM HD, Panasonic DVCPRO HD, and DVCPRO P2 HD which are the most common. But other HD I have mastered includes HDV; another popular request for me as a high definition cameraman or camera operator, but as a 19+ year DP; I've operated most HD cameras you could think of since the beginnings of Sony HDW700 HDCAM to high end cameras from Thomson HD, and the evolutions from XDCAM HD, DVCPRO HD tape, P2 high definition in many makes, HDV + others. Each of these high definition makes have pluses for video production or film production alternatives. Due to the varied video production demands of networks, producers and other video production clients, I as a Colorado cameraman Nick have shifted to shooting in HD when possible as you can always down convert high definition video to standard definition. There are a few hanging on the the good old BetaCam, DVCPRO camera, and DVCAM so please keep me in mind as a videographer or video crew in that aspect too (no pun).
Exotic HD?? Less requested HD includes RED One; a popular high definition camera requested from agencies, directors, and some video producers for me as a cameraman & DP as a faster video production alternative to shooting in film. With many high definition cameras now more affordable like the XDCAM EX series and newer P2 HD; I'm also able to shoot full raster 1080 for less, and my crew can provide a lower cost solution presented in 1920 high definition as well suiting stock footage needs, network needs, or production company needs.
Do I recommend a most requested HD format? for me as a cameraman or for my professional HD video camera crew is the Panasonic hdx 900 DVCPRO HD camera. Clients coming to Colorado hiring me as a HD cameraman or hiring my HD crew enjoy the benefits of HD videotape. Producers I have shot for in Denver, Colorado Springs and other Colorado cities mostly prefer the HDX-900 for workflow. Why? the DVCPRO HD tape is everlasting unlike P2 holding a limited amount of pristine HD video, however I can make P2 or firestore work for you as well. I also have adapted to the workflow's of other high definition camera formats as well. Flexible: I'll videotape or film with the best high definition, SD or film camera format that your network, client, or post production facility needs.
Digital cinema high definition demands; like RED One HD, Thomson Viper or Phantom for example shooting full raster 1920 HD shoot to raid and you'll need a larger crew to work quickly. Other raster HD formats for me as a camera man & my camera crew have operational expertise for with the biggest demands in Denver and Colorado Springs include the Panasonic HPX-170, HPX-2000 & 3000, and Sony EX1 & EX3 XDCAM. National Geographic frequently requests Panasonic HD camera packages, and many other networks, including video production companies, however Sony HD is the other dominator.
Digital cinema drawback?? Some HD cinema cameras are not well suited to Reality shows, news, or ENG, and are ideal for larger crews (a crew larger than a single cameraman or DP) due to file transfer. Video crews, ENG/news crews, EFP video crews, often have to hand off some media to a SNG engineer or engineer or editor and get back into battle.

video is not as demanding for video production resolution or non-broadcast
video; so HD is not as critical. Or corporate video producers in Denver,
