Our Denver Colorado based high definition cameraman, Nick Teti owns the Panasonic HDX900, Panasonic VariCam, as well as the Sony F900 CineAlta. If you’re a producer, production company, or client looking to shoot high definition (HD), we have a camera crew solution for you locally in Denver, Colorado Springs or throughout Colorado; single cameraman, 2 person crew, small camera crew, multiple cameramen (with either the HDX900 or VariCam's) or a large high def camera crew; I have arranged all these camera crew services for several clients. The advantage of hiring a professional HD camera operator like myself over a bargain basement HD cameraman is I own and operate the HDX900 DVCPRO HD camera, and the VariCam for a variety of clients needing experienced Panasonic High Definition Colorado cameraman. As a experienced HDX900 and VariCam owner/operator I also have plenty of camera support accessories making your high definition production better (presented in HIGH DEFINITION). In addition to shooting with the HD HDX900, and VariCam throughout Denver and Colorado Springs, & Colorado’s many cities and counties I have shot DVCPRO HD for national clients, and global clients (Europe, Japan, Canada, Mexico/South/Central America, Middle Eastern Television networks, and other global clients and networks). NTSC or PAL, the HDX900 delivers high definition across the globe with our Colorado based HD cameramen.

What are the benefits of shooting with the Panasonic HDX900?

The Panasonic HDX900 high definition camera can be used for broadcast, feature films, and many other types of demanding high def or feature production. The HDX900 has an extensive paint menu enabling a variety of looks from film, to broadcast, to many other HD looks. The colors can be modified of the HDX900 by our Colorado cameramen and camera crew to match other HD cameras, particular film stocks of motion picture cameras, and other brand high definition cameras as well (Sony, Thompson, Dalsa, The Red Camera etc). Our Colorado cameraman Nick, has shot with the HDX900 with several other production companies, networks, feature film producers, ad agencies, and many other types of companies requiring experienced Colorado high definition camera owner/operators.

The HDX900 has several benefits for high definition acquisition. 4-2-2 sampling, 14 bit AD camera sampling, several in camera film matrixes, and gamma curves for film production, 100 MB recording on DVC Pro 100 videotape standard with this professional broadcast camera ensures the cameraman or camera crew a superb picture for editing, live broadcast, film production, news, documentaries, as well as, many other types of film or video productions. High definition allows the camera operator to shoot for longer periods than film camera operators without changing our videotape (unlike film). The HDX900 high definition camera also incorporates the same proven technology like the Panasonic VariCam so post houses are able to edit footage with Panasonic DVC Pro HD decks without having to upgrade existing video VTR's immediately. The HDX900 is versatile for Colorado and national, including global cameramen due to it’s recording standards versatility. Our Colorado HD cameramen can set the HDX900 recording through all HDX900 recording camera options include 59, or 60hz, NTSC or PAL in 720p, or 1080p or 1080i in frame rates from 24P, 25i, 25p, and 30p as well as 30i. The HDX900 allows Colorado cameramen and camera crews to also down convert high definition signals to standard definition signals. With excellent signal processing, and an experienced Colorado camera crew your HD shoot is guaranteed to be presented in HIGH DEFINITION. Additional benefits of 4-2-2 high definition sampling over 4-1-1 or 4-1-0 sampling of SD is less compression of video, better keying, and video generation longevity. Our Colorado HDX900 cameramen also know the advantages of originating and shooting production in HD, even when down converting to SD. The HDX900 native DVCPRO HD format looks better down converted than BetaSP, DV, DVCAM, Digital BetaCam, and DVCPRO 25 or 50 due to the HDX900 color sampling. With progressive picture scanning of the high definition HDX900 camera down conversion or transfer to film, D1, D2, or use high definition broadcasts are all benefits the high def camera offers to videographers, production companies, camera crews, ad agencies, post houses, live broadcast/network broadcasts, independent features, commercial features, and many other producers of film & video, and many Colorado/National/Global Ad agencies insist on shooting HD (the larger Ad Agencies realize the picture quality of the Panasonic HDX900 will last more generations of video than SD formats), with and experienced Colorado HD camera owner/operator shooting the HD footage. Additional benefits of shooting with the Panasonic HDX900 is the camera is comparable to the Sony F900, Sony 700/750 Series, and other HDCAM high definition cameras in design, allowing Colorado cameramen and Colorado camera crews to outfit Panasonic HDX900 with their existing DVC Pro, BetaCam SP, professional DV, and DVCAM accessories from batteries, sun guns, wireless accessories and other camera support items.

Our Colorado director of photography, Nick Teti is an experienced HDX900 operator, and has operated other HD cameras including Sony F900, F950, F900SR, The VariCam, XDCAM HD, RED, Sony 730, and Sony 750 series cameras. If you need to match a Sony to the Panasonic HDX900 or VariCam, our Colorado cameramen can do so to match your existing high def footage, or match high definition cameras prior to shooting. An advantage the HDX900 has for Colorado camera crews, productions companies, producers, and clients is the camera shoots all the high definition formats and is comparable in price/better priced than Sony HDCAM cameras with less recording latitude. An exception being the XDCAM Sony series camera (the XDCAM uses blue-ray recording at 40mbs compared to the HDX900 100mbs recording),. Newer XDCAMs: Sony XDCAM EX series cameras shoot to solid state cards, like the Panasonic HVX200, HPX500, HPX2000, and HPX3000, although Sony's & Panasonic solid state HD recording mediums are different.

Why the HDX900 Promises better than HDV, P2, and other disc based cameras for freelance cameramen and freelance camera crews; Denver, Colorado Springs, Colorado, national, global

HDV is a highly compressed video format sacrificing color information, and signal to noise, making the camera less than ideal for multiple generation video. Additionally many networks won’t accept HDV as a broadcast format due to video quality loss upon initial recording, and the inability to record rapidly moving/rapidly changing shots. P2 and disc based cameras present headaches for the freelance Colorado cameraman, a camera crew shooting continuously due to limited storage capacity. Additionally the Colorado cameraman shooting long interviews, news conferences, or other long form events has to stop to unload the high definition video to hard disk storage, where the HDX900 High definition cameraman simply changes a videotape and continues videotaping (stop, eject, load, VTR button). Other problems of P2, and disk cameras include the shipping of video to other clients outside Colorado, and feeding video (requiring additional hardware to send hours of footage from P2, and other disc based video recording technologies),. Another advantage the HDX900 has over P2 and disc based high definition cameras is the native CCD size, CCD pixel resolution, and many other professional design features enabling superior HD picture quality. Other advantages the HDX900 has over disc based high definition cameras include disaster caused by disc failure, and the instant backup onto high definition digital videotape (DVCPRO HD).

Why are the rates higher for an experienced HDX900 Colorado Camera Crew over a HDV cameraman or HDV camera crew?

Purchase costs, camera support accessories, insurance, and the overall superiority of the HDX900 video quality sets the HDX900 high definition camera and the professional Colorado HDX900 operator apart from the many ‘diverse’ qualifications of a HDV camera crews. Typical HD costs for a high quality HD package including camera, monitor, lens, camera filters, and camera support typically start at 50,000 and up for the HD camera owner.
- However many HDX900 and other HDCAM owner/operators have also operated HDV cameras as well, but the HDX900 prevails in picture quality. True HD – the HDX900

What about FireStore for your Video/Film Production?

If your budget is lower and you would like to hire a Colorado cameraman, or camera crew shooting with a firestore drive to shoot DVCPRO 100HD or DVC Pro 50, or DV, or HDV our Colorado crew has a fire store/firewire drive for you. What is the advantage of shooting with the larger HDX900 and a firewire drive than using HDV or P2 firewire cameras? The HDX900 & FireStore drive give the cameraman and video editor a better initial picture and better signal processing capabilities than the smaller cameras with smaller CCD's. The lenses used on the HDX900 are also superior optically rendering a better picture, and the HDX900 gives a Colorado camera operator a less compressed, and less noisy picture with minimal video compression artifacts. Our primary true HD camera of choice among our Colorado camera crew is the Panasonic HDX900, and several of our camera crews clients concur.

Sony F900 CineAlta Cameraman & Crew

With offices in Denver and Colorado Springs we have split our HD camera crew and single HD cameraman services to cover Colorado's 2 largest production areas. (We also provide Colorado HD camera operators and camera crew throughout Colorado & outside Colorado) Denver native cameraman Nick is completely familiar with the Sony F900 workflow, and strengths. The Sony F900 also uses 4-2-2 digital color sampling, and a higher megabit camera rate than Panasonic DVCPRO HD (by about 44), this also increases editing disk space (if your a client within to hire our Denver/Colorado Springs HD Cameraman or Crew we can communicate with your post facilities to determine what HD format is better for you). The F900 Sony HDCAM also has a B4 Lens mount requiring HD lenses (like the HDX900, and VariCam) so our Denver or Colorado Springs HD camera crews can fit a lens on any of these HD cameras that's best for your shoot. Our HD camera operator & crew can bring either HD super wide angle, HD wide angle, or HD telephoto lenses (longer HD lenses) or both for your shoot, as well as, matte box, and camera support. The 'average' Sony Colorado HD cameraman or Sony HD camera crew (or national Sony HD cameraman/crew) rates are typically higher due to the cost difference between Sony HDCAM and Panasonic DVCPRO HD. All these HD cameras from Sony and Panasonic shoot both NTSC and PAL (excepting the Sony 700A HD (either NTSC or PAL).

HDCAM, P2, or DVCPRO HD not your Format

Our Denver/Colorado Springs cameraman Nick and his crew are expret HDV camera operators and shoot with sony Z1U HDV, Sony V1U HDV, and JVC HDV; like the 110U, and 200U HDV cameras. Additional
