Freelance Director of Photography / DOP/ DP in Colorado. (Using a IPhone/Smart Phone? - Click Here) BACKGROUND: I'm Nick Teti - I started out in cinematography and as a cameraman while attending college, and working at a television station. After graduation I shifted full time to a news market as a photojounalist. After the news market and cable television production I began freelancing as a cameraman & production person for video, film and television crews across Colorado, as well, traveling. As my camera work evolved from the the video cameraman to film production and through the evolution of video + many film cameras, I kept learning & applying all the basics of lighting, grip, sound mixing/recording and talent direction and learned several camera makes as they evolved. From my first student film back in 1989 to modern day 3p film cameras from Arri & Aaton, I have enjoyed production for television spots, some smaller scale features, and some documentary productions in film. Most of my camera technology as a DP/DOP is into HD video cameras for production now. My applied experience & rental insurance to rent higher end cinema cameras or operate provided resources is common, while I add the support production equipment to complete your production puzzle. As well I provide scalable camera crew resources where you need in Colorado. Aside from the metro areas like Denver, Boulder, Colorado Springs & Fort Collins; I have covered the major Rocky Mountain areas from Vail, Aspen, Summit County areas, down to Telluride up to the top of Colorado; as well, border to border in the state. I have worked many Colorado areas aside from the rural areas, small towns, and Colorado's vast geographies. I have also traveled as a cameraman providing Dp/DoP services to clients across the globe. I am also well versed in Spanish, able to travel central America to South America, to other Spanish speaking counties. NTSC or PAL or 35mm, I have the camera resources as your goto camera guy with the creativity + enthusiasm. Awards, I have won almost 10 awards to 2012 for my work as a cameraman / videographer & DP. They include 4 Emmy, 2 Telly, 1 ASIFA, 1 Cine Golden Eagle + other festival & peer recognitions. As a director of photography, I can direct talent, camera crew resources, lighting, sound technology or grip departments as I have previous and current background in these aspects along with the equipment resources for all types of productions. Cameras - To clients as a DP/DOP I provide the Arriflex 35III if you prefer motion picture film production or a larger group of high definition cinema and video camera choices. With modern day cameras in HD video the director of photography has the advantage of seeing and reviewing actual picture before and after each camera take as well. I'm a owner of video cameras in Sony, Canon and Panasonic as well, RED. I've also operated Thomson Grass Valley, Vision, and other video cameras from Ikegami, Hitachi, Arri, JVC, among others not as common.
